2022 Southern Cross Swimming Club LC Transition Meet

Schedule and Event Details

Time

Junior Session: Warm up 7:30 – 8:15. Competition starts at 8:30am.
Senior Session: Warm up and racing not before 10:30am.
Start time will be confirmed once entries close and the timeline is finalised.

Nominations

All event nominations can be made through Swim Central.

Eligibility

Entry is open to all SQ registered competitive swimmers.

Age

As at 6th November 2022 (minimum age is 7 years old)

Nominations close

11:59 pm 30th October 2022

Event fees

$8 per individual event plus GST and transaction fees. (Maximum of 5 events per swimmer and meet will be capped at 150 competitors per session)

Multiclass

MC swimmers are welcome and will be seeded according to age and time.

Events

This meet is sanctioned by Swimming Queensland and times will be recognised as official. All events to be swum as timed finals. The technical manager or referee reserves the right to combine heats on the day.

Self-Marshalling

Will be in place on the day.

Refunds

Refunds will only be provided if a competitor withdraws from the meet due to illness/injury and provides Southern Cross Swimming Club with a Medical Certificate on or before the competition meet. Swim Central Fees will not be refunded.

Spectators

Spectators are free.

Parking

Street parking is available.

Food

There will be food and beverages sold on the premises.

Program and Awards

Program

Programs will be emailed out to all swimmers prior to the meet. Entry list and timeline will also be emailed before the meet.

Awards

Medals will be awarded to the three fastest swimmers in the following age groups:
– 50m Events 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 years and over
– 100m Events 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 years and over
– 200m Junior 9, 10, 11.
– Open Events the fastest three place getters overall.

Results

Results will be made available on Meet Mobile

Timekeeping

All clubs competing may be required to provide timekeepers during the meet. This will depend on the number of swimmers per club. Details will be emailed before the meet.

Facility

The venue is partly shaded with sunshades, but we do recommend you bringing camp chairs or mats. There is limited spaces for tents.

Rules

This meet is conducted under SQ/SAL rules.
